ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems

Step into the world of food safety with confidence. Our ISO 22000:2018 Lead Auditor Course is designed for professionals across the global food supply chain who are ready to lead, audit, and improve food safety systems with precision.

Whether you're overseeing production, managing suppliers, or auditing service providers, this course provides the comprehensive skills and knowledge required to become a trusted food safety auditor in any food sector.

What You’ll Learn

  • Master the ISO 22000:2018 Standard — Understand the structure, principles, and clauses of the ISO 22000 standard, including the High-Level Structure (HLS), risk-based thinking, and the PDCA cycle — all tailored for food safety.
  • Conduct Effective Audits — Gain audit-ready skills aligned with ISO 19011. Learn how to plan, lead, conduct, and report on internal and external audits that evaluate conformance and drive improvements.
  • Apply FSMS Principles with Confidence — From hazard analysis (HACCP) to operational controls, you'll know exactly how to assess, validate, and verify a food safety management system at every stage of the food chain.
  • Ensure Legal and Regulatory Alignment — Understand the connection between ISO conformity and legal obligations — and how to identify, communicate, and mitigate risks in practice.

Knowledge Checks

At the end of each content module, you’ll have the chance to reinforce your learning with a short, non-graded Knowledge Check. These are designed to help you reflect, recap, and confidently move forward. You can revisit both the content and the Knowledge Checks as often as you like, with instant feedback showing where you’re on track and where you might benefit from a quick review. It’s a smart way to build certainty before heading into your final assessment.

Module Assessment

Let’s be honest—no one enjoys sitting a huge, high-pressure exam at the end of a course. That’s why our assessments are built into the learning experience. You’re assessed on the content as you go, not weeks or months later when it’s easy to forget the finer details. This means you’re applying what you’ve learned while it’s fresh, giving you a stronger chance to succeed—and making the process feel far less daunting.

When you’re ready, each module assessment gives you the opportunity to put your knowledge into action. You’ll have three attempts to complete it, with guidance available if needed. If you use all three, your responses will be reviewed by a trainer and assessor who’ll provide insight and unlock a fresh set of attempts—giving you the time and support to reflect, strengthen your understanding, and keep moving forward with confidence.

This approach has proven effective for learners of all backgrounds and styles—offering a flexible, encouraging path to success that builds real understanding, one step at a time.
