The BSBSS00128 Lead Auditor Skill Set addresses the skills and knowledge to lead a quality audit in a broad range of industries.
This skill set comprises four key competency units:

- BSBAUD511 - Initiate quality audits
- BSBAUD512 - Lead quality audits
- BSBAUD513 - Report on quality audits
While this skill set is relevant for all individuals who, as part of their job role, lead audits within a range of industries, this qualification is especially useful for people considering becoming an NDIS Auditor.
Preparing for Success – Your LLND Self-Assessment
Before you enrol in any Nationally Recognised Competency units, you’ll need to complete a short Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) self-assessment.
This is not an ATOL-specific prerequisite, but a requirement of the 2025 Outcome Standards for RTOs. All Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) must assess students prior to enrolment to ensure you as a student receive the right level of support throughout your training.
Why is this important?
- Helps identify any additional learning support you may need
- Ensures your chosen course and/or career is the right fit
- Sets you up for success before you get started
What happens after you complete the assessment?
- Once you’ve completed the LLND self-assessment, both you and our Customer Service/Training team will be sent a copy of your results.
- To initiate your enrolment, you must upload a copy of your LLND report to the ATOL student portal.
- Students who meet the minimum LLND requirements will be approved for enrolment.
- Students who have not fully met the requirements will be contacted by our Customer Service team for an interview to explore your readiness and next steps.

⚠️ Please note: ATOL is not able to provide specialised LLND support in some areas. In these cases, we may determine that this training or career pathway is not the right fit for you at the moment. Where possible, alternate courses and/or upskilling recommendations will be provided. This process is in line with our obligations to you as a student, and with our responsibilities as an RTO, ensuring your learning pathway is supportive, realistic, and sets you up for long-term success.
