Qualify as a Management Systems Auditor & Lead Internal Audit with Confidence.
Behind every internal audit programme that leadership actually listens to, there is someone who knew how to plan it, resource it, run it, and report findings that drive change. That person could be you.
This bundle pairs the Management Systems Auditor course, the complete ISO 19011:2026 auditing foundation for internal and external auditors, with Focus on Internal Audit Leadership, a focus course built for the people who own the internal audit function. You learn the full auditing methodology first, with remote auditing methods from ISO/IEC TS 17012:2024 integrated throughout. The focus course then turns to leadership: positioning internal audit so it carries weight in your organisation, building and maintaining the audit programme, developing internal auditor competence, and delivering internal audits from preparation through reporting and corrective action follow-up.
The bundle is open to everyone. No prior auditing experience is needed, and it works whether internal audit landed on your desk last month or you have been running audits for years and want the qualification to match.
The auditing methodology you build here also transfers to other structured audit contexts, including but not limited to the NDIS Practice Standards, the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS), and legislative compliance auditing.
You will be issued with an Exemplar Global Statement of Attainment covering AU26 and TL26 on successful completion of Management Systems Auditor, and a Certificate of Completion for Focus on Internal Audit Leadership.
Who this bundle is for
Internal audit is often the job handed to someone on top of their day job, and the people who do it well quickly become the ones their organisation leans on. This bundle is for anyone ready to own that role properly, with the capability and the credential to back it up:
- People who have just been handed responsibility for their organisation's internal audit programme
- Internal auditors ready to move from participating in audits to leading the whole programme
- Quality, safety, environment, and compliance professionals who carry internal audit as part of a broader role
- Audit programme managers formalising how they plan, resource, and evaluate internal audit activities
- Team leads developing internal auditor competence across their organisation
- Consultants who establish or improve internal audit programmes for clients
- Anyone building auditor credentials with a first-party audit focus

What you'll be able to do after this bundle
Leading internal audit means your name is on the programme, not just the checklist. By the time you complete both courses, you will be able to:
- Plan, conduct, and lead management system audits using a consistent ISO 19011:2026 methodology
- Position internal audit within your organisation so its findings carry weight with leadership
- Build and maintain an internal audit programme that stands up to certification body scrutiny
- Develop and evaluate internal auditor competence across your team
- Prepare, conduct, and close internal audits, from initiation and opening meetings through evidence gathering and reporting
- Write internal audit reports that leadership reads and acts on
- Drive corrective actions and follow-up so findings turn into improvement rather than paperwork
- Demonstrate two Exemplar Global competency units plus focused internal audit leadership training to employers and certification bodies
What you'll learn
Two courses, one structured learning pathway. Each theme below builds on the one before it.
Auditing any management system with confidence
Before you can lead internal audit, you need to master auditing itself. The Management Systems Auditor course builds that foundation using ISO 19011:2026 and ISO/IEC TS 17012:2024 for remote auditing. You will learn the seven auditing principles, how to plan and manage an audit programme, collect and evaluate evidence, run opening and closing meetings, document findings, and lead a team through a complete audit from initiation to follow-up.
Making internal audit matter inside your organisation
Plenty of internal audit programmes exist on paper and change nothing. The first part of the focus course tackles why: the role internal audit plays within an organisation, how to build and maintain a programme that certification bodies and leadership both trust, how internal auditor competence is developed and evaluated, and what leadership of the internal audit function looks like in practice.
Delivering internal audits people take seriously
The second part is delivery: preparing for internal audits, conducting them, writing internal audit reports that drive decisions, and managing corrective actions and follow-up. You will work with the same audit tools introduced in the Management Systems Auditor course, applied specifically to first-party auditing, so the whole cycle feels familiar by the time you run it for real.

Practical, audit-based learning in Management Systems Auditor
In the Management Systems Auditor course, your learning is reinforced through practical audit activities using the included templates, including an audit plan, working papers, findings record, and audit report. You build genuine audit documentation as you progress, not just answer questions about auditing.
Applying leadership in the focus course
In Focus on Internal Audit Leadership, each section pairs understanding with practical application, putting the audit tools to work in a first-party context. Note: the course is currently in draft and the exports do not state the final assessment format or pass marks. Confirm these details against the course build before this section is published.
